Running your first event
- Open the app and tap Create an event. Give it a name and a date.
- Open the event and tap Add a guest. Enter a name and pick a category.
- Tap the guest to see their credential — a QR code you can print or show on screen.
- Use Print this badge for one badge, or the event's … menu to print all badges or export the list as CSV.
- Open Edit event to put your own logo and a cover image on the event; both are printed on that event's badges and invitations.
- From the guest, tap Email the invitation. The app fills in Apple's mail composer with the address, your message and the invitation PDF — you press Send yourself, from your own mail account. The invitation is marked as sent only once it has actually gone out.
- Record each reply on the guest — going, not going, or still awaiting — and the event screen counts them for you. Replies do not arrive on their own: there is no server, so you enter what the guest told you.
- On the day, open the Check-in tab, choose the event, and scan.
Printing badges at the right size
Badges are generated as PDF at true physical size — 90 × 120 mm, 100 × 150 mm or A6. In the print dialog, make sure scaling is set to 100% and not "fit to page"; otherwise the printer shrinks the page and the badge no longer matches your holders.
The scanner says "already checked in"
That is the app telling you this credential has come through the door before, and when. It is deliberate: it catches a badge being passed back out to someone else. If it was your own mistake, open the guest and choose Undo check-in.
The scanner refuses a code
There are three reasons, and the app says which one:
- Wrong event — the credential belongs to a different event.
- Revoked — the credential was revoked; the guest is still on the list.
- Not issued by this app — an arbitrary QR code, or a forged one.
The camera does not open
Check Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Camera and make sure Event Nexus AI is allowed. Everything except check-in works without the camera.
Can I move my events to another device?
Not directly — data stays on the device where you entered it. Export the guest list as CSV first if you need a copy. An encrypted device backup restored to a new device brings the app's data with it.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, completely. The app never makes a network request, so a venue with no signal changes nothing.
Is there anything to pay for?
No. The app is free, has no in-app purchases and no subscription. Every feature is available from the moment you install it.
