Verify who you talk to
CIPHERA is a messenger for people who want to check their security, not just be told about it. Messages, voice and video calls and files are end-to-end encrypted on your devices. The CIPHERA server stores and forwards encrypted data that it cannot read.
Free for everyone
Anyone can download CIPHERA, sign in and use every feature — messages, calls, files, groups and Security Center — free of charge. There is nothing to buy: no in-app purchases and no advertising.
Trust you can see
Every security indicator in CIPHERA is the result of a check that actually ran on your device. If a check fails, CIPHERA tells you and stops, instead of carrying on quietly.
- Verify a contact by comparing a safety number or by scanning the QR code on their screen.
- If a contact's identity key changes, the conversation shows it and asks you to verify again before you send.
- Security Center lists every device on your account, your active sessions and a timeline of security events, each checked on your device before it is shown.
- Add a new device by comparing the same security code on both screens, and remove a lost device in one step.
Private by design
- End-to-end encrypted one-to-one and group conversations.
- End-to-end encrypted voice and video calls.
- Encrypted files, each with its own key.
- App lock with a PIN, Face ID or Touch ID, and a privacy cover in the app switcher.
- Sign in with Apple, or with a code sent to your e-mail address. No phone number needed.
- A recovery code that restores your identity on a new device. The recovery backup is encrypted with that code, which only you have.
- Block and report accounts that abuse the service.
One account works on your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
