Summary — Data Not Collected. IT Service Report Pro does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no developer-operated servers. Your service reports, customers, assets, photos and signatures are stored only on your device.

1. Who we are

IT Service Report Pro is developed by Stefan E. (IPSTSO), an independent private developer. Support & contact: the support page and the public issue tracker at github.com/tommy-bytes/ipstso/issues.

2. Data we collect

None. The app has no accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers and no server operated by us. We cannot see your reports, your customers or anything you type into the app.

3. Data you create stays on your device

Service reports, customers, sites, assets, parts, labour times, checklists, photos, attachments and audit history are stored in a local database on your iPhone/iPad, protected with iOS Data Protection (file encryption).
Electronic handwritten signatures (customer and engineer) are stored only inside the report on your device, together with the signer name, date/time and the report's SHA-256 fingerprint. They are not qualified electronic signatures and are never uploaded by the app.
Generated PDF/DOCX documents remain on your device until you choose to share, email, print or export them using the iOS share sheet or your own mail account. Sharing happens through Apple's system services under your control.

4. Permissions the app can request (only when you use the feature)

Camera — to scan serial numbers/QR/barcodes and to photograph equipment for a report.
Photo library — via the system picker, only for images you select.
Microphone & speech recognition — only while you actively dictate notes; on-device recognition is used where iOS supports it.
Contacts — only through the system contact picker when you tap "Import from Contacts"; the app can read just the contact you pick.
Face ID / Touch ID — optional app lock; biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave and is never visible to the app.

5. Optional AI writing assistant

The AI assistant is off by default and works only if you add your own Anthropic API key (Settings → AI Assistant). When you explicitly run it, the selected report text is sent over TLS directly from your device to the Anthropic API (Anthropic privacy policy) using your key, and the improved text is returned for your review. Nothing is sent automatically, and nothing is sent to the developer. Your API key is stored only in the iOS Keychain (device-only) and can be removed at any time.

6. Purchases

IT Service Report Pro is a paid app; the one-time purchase is processed entirely by Apple. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. We receive no payment details and no personal information about you.

7. Data retention & deletion

You control retention: keep reports indefinitely or apply a retention period (1–7 years) from Settings → Storage & Privacy.
You can export your data as JSON, delete individual customers/reports, or delete all local data at any time.
Deleting the app deletes all of its data, including Keychain-stored keys.

8. Your customers' data (GDPR note for engineers & companies)

Information you record about your customers (names, contact details, equipment, signatures) is processed locally by you, on your device. For that data, you or your company act as the data controller; the app is an offline tool and the developer has no access to it. The app provides export and deletion functions to help you honour data-subject requests.

9. Children

The app is a professional field-service tool, is not directed at children, and collects no data from anyone.

10. Your rights (GDPR)

Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, rectify, erase or port. For questions about this policy, use the support links above (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 applies to data you process locally, as described in section 8).

11. Changes

Any future change to this policy will be published on this page with a new effective date.
